Our Single Pilot Resource Management course has been designed for Pilots of all levels including those just beginning their Flight Training journey.
What is Single Pilot Resource Management?
Single Pilot Resource Management, or SRM, is a derivative of Commercial Airline Pilot’s training in Human Factors, Crew Resource Management (CRM) and ‘non-technical’ skills which has been adapted to GA single pilot operations.
The term SRM is a relatively new term in the UK but is already being widely adopted in General Aviation across the Atlantic in the USA.
Being a safer and more efficient pilot is not just about how well you can apply your technical skills, but equally about how well you can make effective decisions, stay ahead of the aircraft and manage all resources available to you in contributing to any situation that might arise.

Threat and Error management – Mitigating risks early on
Situational awareness – Tools to help you stay ahead of the aircraft
Workload management – Runway closed? Learn how to manage the tasks of a diversion
Decision Making – Learn to gather and assess information to make a sound decision before and during a flight.
Enjoy an interactive, classroom-based session, watching videos, sharing and listening to real life experiences, participating in fun exercises and learning SRM skills.
Why do I need this?
In GA, a single pilot has no-one beside them to help deal with unforeseen circumstances or a sudden situation. The good news is that through SRM, a single pilot is taught to manage workload, mitigate risk, correct errors and make good decisions—just the same as an Airline Crew would do with the CRM concepts.
Incorporating SRM into GA pilot training is an important and beneficial step forward in UK aviation safety.
Our course is designed and run by current Airline Pilots, Instructors and Air Traffic Controllers already experienced in ‘Crew Resource Management’ with an extensive GA background.
